The charming Chartreuse of San Lorenzo, better known as Chartreuse of Padula, dates back to the fourteenth century and since 1998 it is listed as a UNESCO Heritage site.

The Chartreuse of Padula is the largest in Italy, and its cloister, with its 12,000 square meters, is the largest in the world.
Built in Baroque style, many famous artists worked on it, including Vanvitelli, who helped design the beautiful spiral staircase.
